The Mobility in the Ottoman Higher Education – I: The ‘Cerr’ as a Madrasa Student’s Activity

This paper is about the cerr, a student mobility in Ottoman madrasa. The general, refers to travels from madrasas cities, especially Istanbul, villages, towns and cities countryside State. Although cerr generally seen as an internship for students, it understood that economic dimension of said predominates. In this article, two important elements will be discussed different perspective offered. Therefore, focused on understanding shaped by concerns has goals.
